Catching up on Exercism Jobs

Hello everyone!

I’ve been working very hard on the Bootcamp for the last couple of months. Now we’ve had two good first sessions, I can come up for breath for the first time in a while. I’m going to take it easy the next couple of days and recharge, but then I want to spend some time getting on top of Exercism jobs.

If there’s something outstanding that I’ve not got to yet, please could you add a post below with info.

My initial (short!) list is:

  • Issue 12in24 badges (thanks Glenn)
  • Sort 12in24 on the site (thanks again Glenn for the start of this)

Obviously not high priority, but your diamond PR is still open. I’m still waiting to add a story to the exercise :slight_smile:

By no means top priority, but at some point we need a decision on whether or not there will be an annual challenge this year.

This isn’t an old job, but i believe something needs to be done about the mentoring queues:

  • Many requests are months/years old.
  • Some folks will not get mentored because mentors assume that they are no longer waiting or because their request appears at the end of the queue.
  • Some queues are very long.
  • Some folks are no longer waiting, but their request is still there.

This issue pops up every now and then, and it would be nice to find a solution. The most recent discussion is here Mentoring the Go Track

Some mentors may make that assumption. Certainly not all mentors make that assumption.
