It would be really great if the ARM track could support ARM-based macs natively. Right now, it appears that it does not.
Request for ARM Assembly(64bit) Track - #45 by ahans suggests it might not be straightforward, but the maintainers would know best of course.
When I get hand-me-down Macs, I reformat them with Linux. So I’m not the best person to work on this.
That is unfortunate :(
I totally agree that native support for Apple Silicon would be nice and I actually do have an M1 Mac available I could use for this. I played with this a bit before we launched the track and initially it looked promising, but I hit some roadblocks regarding memory access. Apple handles this quite a bit differently, unfortunately. A bit after the initial discussions I came across those macros, which could be helpful. I put some ideas into this ticket back then, but haven’t gotten around to work any further on this.
Thanks for looking into it!
