Branch naming instructions for PRs?

Because we’ve gotten a few PRs from people that are from main (even though there is a note that we don’t accept PRs but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), this messes with the auto format action on GH, so I propose one of the following:

  • Add a few lines to either the CONTRIBUTING.md or README.md for the track to warn people of branch naming conventions.
  • Fix the auto formatting action so it works from main too, tho I’m not sure this will be the best option.

@SleeplessByte Sorry for the ping but I need your opinion on this.

Also, may be unrelated but I’m getting the same error as described in #2767 when running the format.mjs script on my end. It is probably related to my environment, but I thought I’d mention anyway.
