Today I woke up with messages of all my friends saying that they got a text from me saying “steam gift cards for $50”, and that was not me for sure, and i got removed from the exercism discord server too, woke up feeling really bad cause thought that it was going to ruin it all.
I’ve got a message from Jeremy too but couldn’t answer it because we were not in the same server anymore.
If anyone could help me with this, I’m just in shock.

I think you’d want to go through the Discord recovery process to recover your Discord account.
Is it only Discord? Do you use the same password for Discord that you use elsewhere? Did you click any suspicious links?
You can still access your discord account, right? It is not like your password was changed, so you still have ownership of your account, right?
You were kicked from the server, but I think we can rectify this, when you have regained control.

Yeah I still can use it, that’s what got me so confused, don’t look I really got hacked, but somehow it was sending messages like that to everybody.
Just changed my passwords and everything, I don’t know if it helps on something, but I’ve disconnected my steam account from discord too. Don’t know how to go back to the Exercism server.

You know seems that I was banned or something, can’t go back
Your account may have been banned to help clean things up. If you share your Discord handle with me, I can revoke the ban.
If your Discord account wasn’t directly compromised, I wonder if maybe something like a browser extension was compromised.
