First of all, thank you for posting here in the forums.

I have linked this discussion to the pull request, so people can get here (and the link above will get them back).

I have left it closed, and commented the reason I have not reopened it.

Because the wording comes from Problem Specifications, and that is intended for the 70+ language tracks that we have (or will have), the “null/nil” wording should cover all the languages, at least in general. The reader should interpret the instructions in terms of the language they are practicing.

So, for this reason, I do not think this change is warranted, as it will end up likely coming back in when things are updated from Problem Specifications, and I do not believe it warrants clarification in an appends file, either.

Yeah it’s sub-optimal, but nothing we can really do in this case. I agree with your assessment @kotp, but I understand why you’d wanted this changed @yuler.
