Grade School (OCaml) - Why so many repeated tests?

The test file is almost 300 lines long with plenty of repeated tests, and contains some commented lines. I wonder why it’s that way and if I can do anything to help fix it.

I also don’t think it makes the check of whether a student is duplicated or not given how no return type in the .mli file is result.
