Long Removed Learning Exercise Appears in Concept

In the Cairo track > Integers concept, there should be only one learning exercise, which is " Lucian’s Luscious Lasagna". The problem is that another exercise “Cars Assemble” also appears there, even though it’s been long-removed from this concept (and replaced with the current LLL).

PR that removed “Cars Assemble”: remove cars-assemble by 0xNeshi · Pull Request #341 · exercism/cairo · GitHub

Not sure what needs to be done to address this.

Similar thing happens for the concept: “Error Handling”, where the non-existent “The Farm” exercise appears.

I think this may not work to remove an exercise. I know we mark things as deprecated to get them delisted.

That’s my understanding as well. Deleting UUIDs in use should be avoided since that’d surely leave orphaned references to the old UUID in the database and require some cleanup.

Yeah, exercises should never be deleted - they should be deprecated. Please revert that PR and change the status to deprecated and that should fix it!

Created a PR doing that, thanks:

I’ll need to double check whether there was an exercise “The Farm” ever in the repository, will post here my findings.

Just a quick update on the-farm, the same thing happened - it was created, then removed from config.json.

Added the exercise back and marked as deprecated.
