Parallel letter frequency benchmark doesn't improve with concurrecy

I’m working on the Parallel letter frequency exercise and I can’t get the benchmarks to be any better than sequential. Even if I implement a solution from someone like IsaacG, the benchmark is still around 2 seconds, the same as for a sequential solution. I am running go test -bench . like the README says to. What could be going wrong?

It would probably help if the tests had benchmarks.

See [parallel-letter-frequency] Re-add benchmarks by IsaacG · Pull Request #3132 · exercism/go · GitHub for the fix.
