When saving profile settings, the success message says “A profilod mentve lett”. The passive voice here sounds awkward in Hungarian, and it sounds like the profile is being saved from something dangerous.
I’d recommend “A profilod elmentve”. We’re using “elmentve” as a participle describing the profile. Among other things, the el prefix can indicate something being completed.. Therefore, my wording shows that the profile is now in the state of having been successfully saved.

We also added a note to the Hungarian style guide that “has been saved” messages use the “el-” participle and avoid the “mentve lett” passive. While checking, we found one similar passive for a different action: “Ez az iteráció törölve lett” (an iteration was deleted). Would you change it, for example to “Ez az iteráció törölve” or “Az iteráció törlődött”?

Oh I should have asked. Where is this being used in the UI? Written out somewhere or a little notification message like the one I was highlighting? If it’s a quick one-and-done popup, “iteráció törölve” as “Iteration (having been) deleted” looks more natural.
Thank you @BNAndras, that is a good question. This message is not a popup. It is a line of text shown in the place where the iteration’s files would normally appear, for example in a mentoring session or in a student’s list of iterations, when that iteration has been deleted. The English reads “This iteration has been deleted”.
We have already applied “Az iteráció törlődött” in two places (the mentoring session and the mobile code panel), and the change will be live shortly, once the new translations have been published. Two other places for the same English currently read “Ezt az iterációt törölték”.
Given that it is a static status line, which would you choose: “Az iteráció törölve”, “Az iteráció törlődött”, or “Ezt az iterációt törölték”? We would like all four places to match.
