Should the PR auto-closer’s suggested post be updated to include a link back to the original PR?
Currently, it gives us the PR title as the thread title and the PR body as the first post. Speaking for myself, I don’t always provide enough context there so having an embedded URL back to the post would be useful for folks who want to look at the PR for themselves either now or in the future.
Speaking only for Python, I am not so sure I want that. Case in point is this post: Fix minor inconsistencies in introduction.md of guidos-gorgeous-lasagna.
Linking back to the PR means that someone could come along and say that these were all typos and that they are fine - putting pressure on me to approve a PR that is 50% bad, and has also left out several docs that might need the same corrections. Better that I review it before others pile in to comment.
I also want to discourage folx making PRs without discussing them first, and encourage folx to be clear in their PR titles and descriptions.
But I am likely in a small minority. I wouldn’t veto the suggestion - but I don’t really agree with it.
