Python: Collatz-Conjecture problem

Hello and good day.
I have been having a hard time running my code in the browser; it has been showing me the error you see on the RHS of the image.

def steps(number):
    current = number
    sequence = [current]
    while current != 1:
        if current % 2 == 0:
            current = current // 2
        else:
            current = current * 3 + 1
        sequence.append(current)
    return sequence

You might want to glance at the tests or consider if there is any edge case inputs that could break your solution and, say, lead to an infinite loop.
