I’m posting this at the suggestion of Jeremy Walker.
With the new GitHub sync feature, I was wondering if there are any plans for a similar GitLab integration.
I know we can clone/fork a repositories, but a direct sync would be a huge quality-of-life improvement for users like me who use both platforms for different reasons.
Jeremy said he’d prioritise it if there was enough demand. If you are like me or just avid Gitlab users who would like to see this…

BitBucket and Codeberg also come to mind as GitHub alternatives. Perhaps we could build a poll to gauge interest?
I’m also wondering if the sync functionality could be built in a generic fashion. Then folks can write an adapter for targeting a particular version control platform.
It can be very interesting for organisations and companys to attach their own instances of any git-based version control service. I imagine it not to be too complicated to do so, when not insisting on “sync by PR” or similar features.
