I requested private mentoring on Discord to test something unrelated to this ticket. I now have two active mentoring discussions for this exercise from IsaacG and kotp. However, the website only shows Isaac’s discussion because he accepted my request first. At the moment, I have no way to get to the other active discussion without going back to my email when kotp last responded.
I’m not sure how to resolve this since neither discussion is “past”.
As an update, Isaac ended the discussion. The active discussion with kotp is highlighted, and Isaac’s discussion is in the past review sessions.
So I think we might just need a way to access two or more ongoing private mentoring discussions. This is a bit of an edge case though since I suspect not a lot of students do this normally.
You shouldn’t be able to have multiple active mentoring sessions really. So I think the solution is to block the second person from accepting the request.
That is what I expected, as I thought Isaac had picked it up. So slightly surprised that my message got sent.
That’s what I expected as well and doing that should nip this issue in the bud.
