There is quite a bit of material that I use time and again when mentoring, but up until now I have never used the scratchpad. I think this was caused by the scratchpads being exercise-specific, whereas most (all?) of the material I reuse is in fact exercise-agnostic.
While I do not seem to have much use for exercise-specific scratchpads, I think I would have use for track-level scratchpads.
