🚨 Tests timing out? Read this

:muscle:t4::muscle:t4: Update: The backlog has cleared. It should be working now.

If you still experience persistent (not intermittend) issues, feel free to comment here.

If you are using the online editor, you may have experienced one of the following:

  • tests not running to completion,
  • tests timing out,
  • the submit button being disabled completely even after making a change
  • a error message appearing next to the submit button.

If you use the CLI you may have experienced:

  • Submission staying in processing state for a long time.

We are currently experiencing heavy load on the infrastructure related to a Denial of Service attack.

:dart: We are actively working on mitigating this issue.

this is fine

Friendly reminder that Exercism is a non-profit with a handful of people on staff and we do not have the resources to mitigate this issue around the clock. If you do want to help out and you have the means (please, please only support us financially if this is of little burden!), this would be the perfect time to become an insider for example by donating.

It’s expensive to test all yer solutions ;)

Feel free to respond to this topic with questions, support, or shared frustration, but keep it civil.

The backlog is now clearing and things should hopefully return to normal within the next few minutes.

How is it working for you all? I still have issues.
From the website:

From the CLI

In short: I cannot upload any solution to Exercism.

How is it working for everybody?

I am also getting a 500 error…

Is it a DDoS attack, or is the server overwhelmed?

Try again now?

Ok DJ now it seems to be working.

Tried both on the website and the CLI. No problems now.
